Jackson joins PrePak Holdings as Chief Executive Officer

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The board of directors of PrePak Holdings Inc. has named Renard Jackson to serve as the company’s new chief executive officer and president.

Jackson has spent his 25-year career in a range of corporate leadership roles, including tenures as group president and in general management, operations, sales and marketing positions. Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, he was vice president/ general manager at Schott North America, Pharmaceutical Systems, responsible for driving the performance of the company’s pharmaceutical packaging business unit. Previously, Jackson served 10 years with Catalent, formerly Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical Technologies and Services. During his tenure with Catalent, the company became a global leader in packaging services and strategic planning.

Bob Allen, chairman at PrePak Holdings, said that the board of directors unanimously selected Jackson based on his track record leading complex organizations, as well as his strong executive and personal qualities.

“Our search for a new leader to continue the growing success of PrePak has been focused and thorough,” said Allen. “A screening team of board members established a broad field of candidates and interviewed many individuals. We then recommended the strongest contenders to the board as finalists. Each was interviewed by the entire board, and Renard was our top choice.”

Huggins Joins PrePak Systems as Vice President of Sales

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. Don Huggins joins PrePak Systems as the Vice President of Sales. In this role Don will be responsible for the sales growth of PrePak Systems as well as a sister company, Celeste Contract Packaging.

Prior to joining the senior leadership team at PrePak Systems, Don was the Vice President of Business Development for Catalent, formerly Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical Technologies and Services. During those twelve years his most recent responsibility was for the US and European Packaging sales teams. Don has thirty five years of successful experience in the medical products, consumer products, and pharmaceutical industries. During his career, the first twenty years were in operations and the past fifteen were in sales and business development

Don and his family reside in Wayne, New Jersey.

PrePak Systems names Welch Vice President, General Manager

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. PrePak Systems, a six-year-old packaging company based in Cookeville, recently announced that William "Butch" Welch will take the responsibility of running their Cookeville location as vice president and general manager.
I have had the pleasure of working side-by-side with Butch for over 20 years," said Bob Allen, PrePak founder and chairman of its board of directors. "I know this is a great fit for Butch and that he will grow and continue to move PrePak in the right direction.
Allen hired Welch in the early '70s to work with him at the Keene Corporation in Cookeville. Welch graduated from Jacksonville State University with a B.S. in accounting and served at Keene as an accountant, material manager and controller.
He left Keene in the late '70s to work at Aquatech, a prewash denim business in Cookeville that grew to employ 1,600. There he served as plant manager, environmental director, production manager, controller and, later, as vice president of international operations with Greenwood Mills, the company that bought Aquatech in 1987. Welch moved back to Cookeville and joined PrePak Systems in 2006 as their controller.
"Butch has proven himself with his ability to grow domestic and international companies as well as raising a wonderful family, so he will be a great leader and public voice for PrePak Systems," said Allen.
Welch and his wife, Carol, have three children and six grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing.

PrePak Systems, located on Fisk Road, runs a four-shift rotation with 160 employees.
